Hello Knob Hill Families,

I hope you are having a wonderful summer and are enjoying these summer months that are filled with family time and rejuvenation! I am honored to introduce myself as the principal of Knob Hill Elementary! I am so excited that I get to continue my work with you as part of this excellent school community.

The 2022-2023 school year will mark my 23rd year in education. For the past 12 years, I have served as your Assistant Principal here at Knob Hill. During this time, I have worked collaboratively to increase opportunities for our students by providing a proactive approach to student needs. Prior to being an administrator, I was a 4th and 5th grade teacher where I served as GATE coordinator, Master Teacher, and District trainer. I have my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership where the focus of my work was about the importance of collaboration in education. I recently completed my National Institute for School Leadership (NISL) certification where I was trained in leading high performance organizations, improving instruction, leveraging data-driven decision making, improving student and school culture, and how to lead with equity based practices.

On a personal note, I live in San Marcos with my husband, Mike, our daughter, Brook, and our adventurous husky, Kumba. Our daughter will be a senior this year and we are embarking on our next journey as a family, College!

Along with our staff and families, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established at Knob Hill by building strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners. Together we will focus on ensuring our school’s vision to ensure all students who enter become academically proficient, confident, and motivated life-long learners. At Knob Hill, all students will have equal access to rigorous content that is engaging, innovative, and student centered.

Please be on the lookout for a parent survey. I’d like to get your feedback on what is working well on our campus and identify what areas you would like to see us grow in. Your input/suggestions will help provide me with important information about next steps.
