WELCOME !
Welcome to 1st grade!
We have a meet and greet Monday, August 15 from 4-5pm. 
Our first day of school will be Tuesday, August 16 at 8:45. Bring your backpack, a water bottle with your name, a snack for recess,  and lunch unless you are planning to eat a cafeteria lunch. 
I look forward to meeting you and beginning our learning adventure together! 
About Mrs. Brown:

I have been teaching for 15 years, predominantly in SMUSD as an intervention specialist.  I have a MA in Elementary Education from the Univ. of Colorado, and a BA in Business Economics from UCSB.  I have lived in San Marcos for 22 years with my husband, Nick, and two children Collin (23) and Erin (16).  We love animals and have 2 dogs and a cat.  I enjoy all things nature and outdoors - hiking, kayaking, swimming, gardening.  I also love reading and traveling. I am excited to join this fabulous school and to teach first grade!
