Welcome to Second Grade!

My name is Karen Padilla and I am thrilled to be your child's teacher this year! Teaching is my passion and I will do my best to ensure that your child has a meaningful and motivating learning experience in my class. This is my fifth year working at Knob Hill Elementary. I feel very fortunate to continue working at such an amazing school. Go Hawks! 
 
I grew up in Calexico, California (a small border town in the Imperial Valley next to Mexicali, Mexico) and I moved up to San Marcos for college. Little did I know that I would be staying in this wonderful city. I love my little hometown, but San Marcos stole my heart! I obtained my Bachelor's Degree and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Cal State San Marcos. When I'm not at school, I love to go visit my family in Calexico.
